THE 90's

'Tie my shirt round my waist' look it takes me back in the 90's I would do this with literally with my jacket and my pullovers and would hop about happily,my mum was always angry and she would whip me especially when I did that with my school pullover. Ahhh! the kid days'' 

Today I've gone for a more grown up version.I paired a checked shirt with all white ensemble same here and here.

POP OF COLORS

Today’s post features a pop of colors and elegant official look. This outfit is the perfect example of an inexpensive brand achieving an incredibly refined look.

Spending a fortune isn’t always necessary in acquiring a chic and sophisticated appearance.Stay in your lane and merge when necessary.

This look remind me of "Lisa Ray McCoy" of Single Ladies "Keisha Greens" she is one to  watch when it comes to fashion,its my all time series I watch it over and over...............am just in love with her wardrobe.

THE MIND OF A DESIGNER (My First Design)

For a while now I have found myself re-designing clothes ones I buy them.Something that I have come to love and enjoy.

When I started blogging one of my greatest dreams was to one day be at a point I could explore the world of fashion and out of my love for fabric I would be able to create something great.

Finally its here,my first piece out of my collection.This piece is dear to me,I guess thats what mothers feel when they give birth for the first time,and am not only excited to show it out but I am thrilled that I have managed to overcome my fears of "What if".

When I had my pencil down and my imagination set to my drawing book I wanted something one would wear to a red carpet event,I would have worn it for the Kenya Fashion Award 2015,its a statement itself, Right? You can also wear it to a wedding,dinner,fashion high tea event and so many events.

I love how this look can be taken from an event to a calm walk by the beach,rugby sport event, .........to summarize it all its a casual hangout look,

DENIM DANGARI.

 Doing the 'Dangari' something I have never thought I'd even consider trying but when I assembled this look-it just felt right.
With the Dangari on it just comes with a little bit of swag and I feel I got riri in me,I tried to pull some of riri's poses.Right?
If you are a first timer when it comes to this kind of styling (like me).I'd suggest to stick simple,clean-cut and sleek,so I ensembled my Dangari with this black timber heel and a fit t-shirt.

MY SAFE PANTS.

I am one person who like to dare when it comes to what I put on.I know how most of the time we love to play safe however I believe you can do amazing things in that safe place you are in.

I consider these pants my safe item in my word robe,its one of those pants I can style to fit whatever occasion I desire however this time round I wanted something simple,a look I can put on within seconds and hurry out on those days I had a long night of series.I paired my pink pants with a simple top and my new favorite nude strap shoes.

If you are in the safe mode I suggest you try this and let me know.

MY RULES

I love confidence,I believe each of us needs to be confident,even that little thing you do.Your life is not a mistake so don't regret being you.

Allow me to share two rules that I believe every lady should carry in her notebook each day.

1. Never look down on yourself.
2. Never allow peoples opinion to tear you down.

Now to the look,I love being comfortable in what I wear and I have a taste of clothes that brings out my figure without exposing to much of my skin to the world.A girl needs to cover up herself always.I paired it with a nude shoe (also here) so as not to look too busy and deny the dress the limelight.

You want to attend a cocktail or dinner i would suggest this look.Hope you wont mind. 

BOLD STRIPES

If you have been reading my post then you have not missed the word sophistication in about two or three post.That is the word I have for this look too.

I love simplicity and edginess, and I always try to put that in my look.The black and white outfits went from trendy to girl's must have.

Other than its black and white nature I love that you can style it in any colour, I opted for colour pink,(same worn here) and still turn heads.So I did and loved what it brought from a calm look to an edgy outfit that you can wear to the office,to an appointment or even to a corporate conference and still be sophisticated.

CUT-OFF FASHION TASTE

 This dress is dear to me,at least that is what I can say for one specific reason;I designed it myself.I had bought it to get Kim Kardashian's wardrobe you know am a lover of her style.But knowing my self,I always want to make things look different I picked my scissors and did what I do best restyle.
From a full dress I ended up with two two pieces;a crop top and a skirt.If i was a baby I can imagine what my mum could have done.
So here we go my two pieces outfits that brings out my curves and sophistication,I kinda feel like Kim Kardashian....;Don't blame a gift for wanting to look different.

MY NEAT DAY LOOK.

I know we fashion bloggers always look as if we are always psyched up everyday when it comes to dressing up.

I will just be honest I am never so in the 7 days of the week.There are moments I am just to lazy to check myself up or pick up a matching outfit.Nevertheless that doesn't mean you should dress loose and look lost.

Everyday I believe you should always look neat and that is how I found myself in this neat pink chiffon top,nude stilettos (same worn here) and leather pants.This is one look when you area exhausted to start following up what Juliet Wachira has on.

It's my neat day look no Complication.

LIPS-TEE GLAM!

Well well! White jeans and I are very good friends and we are also in love. You all know what happens when a gal is in love, she cant stop showing it to the world. Now that is me :-) and don't mind why I am on the love mode of late its just that my heart beats alot when I see glam. 

Here I have worn it with a Lips-Tee,for an easy and chick look and I couldn't resist adding the Steve Madden heels (also worn here and here) to jazz it up a little.

WHEN RED MEET AFRICAN

(My Kenya Love Story Dress)

 Believe me when I say I was never a fan of the colour red but lately,I cant deny I have a soft spot of red dresses (check here and here).We all know red to be associated with love and power call it cliche but I will stick with power and sophistication.

 So I had this red dress that had become short after I grew tall :-),then I meet this awesome Lady who could transform a simple dress to glam.When I gave her the dress this is what I got,my Kenya Love Story Dress.

Don't hate,I have never been a fan of African dresses and prints,so I was a bit hesitant to put on this dress when it came back. Now I am having hard time to stay still because I love my Kenya Love Story Dress and I am ready for more Love Stories.

SKY-LITE RED.

I just wanted to take a moment and truly thank you all for your support of the things I believe in, it honestly means the world to me! It's a great feeling to impact people through doing what I love!

EDGE of SIMPLICITY.

What I know is that dressing up and looking great can be as easy as you want it and as hard as you make it.I prefer the 'easy as you want it' because out of it you come out simple,edgy and comfortable,with this pair of jeans being a statement i did not want to put too much effort on the rest of the outfit.

This is the kind of outfit I would wear for a formal meeting,on a weekend.......and to many casual  events.

CURVED OUT.

 Hi Lovies,

I know it has been so long but am glad I am back,Last weekend we were out for my friend's birthday dinner at English Point Marina and I wanted to look simple and also carry class and sophistication into my look.

I was looking at these photos before I posted them and I started to feel insecure.Growing up I had a feeling that I looked different in a bad way,never appreciated peoples's comment about my curves since most of my friends and family were more like Naomi Campbell,Tyra Banks(American Next Top Model).

Today however I choose to snap out of it and not allow my past insecurity drag me where I was.Now I am confident and I appreciate every bit of it.

BLACK on BLACK.

Some people wear black because its flattering,matches everything or it conveniently hides spilled coffee & hot sauce,For others black is more than a colour its a lifestyle.
But in my case i would say i wear black in order to feel a little bit slimmer..........hahah.. Yeah! for those days I wake up and feel i have gained some pounds or the previous night i ate too much junk.

Happy weekend,yeey!! it's finally here.I love my weekend calm and comfy so I opted to share this look.My weekdays is always packed with heels so to tone it down I had my ngoma on with this skirt (same worn here), which I styled for a weekend vibe.

Pencil Skirts are wardrobe staple and every girl should have one........Right!,but the must have for this classic piece is the midi length that hit below the knees.A super stripped sweater version such as this calls for playing up your curves,just add a chiffon top and a blazer and you are good to go.

Colour blocking ain't that difficult,Mix colour one with colour two pretty simple........Right!.But the tricky part is how to come up with great colour combination or how to make them all work.Over the weekend I had great joy of experience coming up with this great colours without feeling uncomfortable.
